Texan is the only zero carpet to landfill flooring contractor in Houston, and now they have expanded that to include rubber recycling through the new Roppe IMPACT program.

IMPACT, Roppe’s rubber products recycling program, is truly a great opportunity for Starnet Members to make a difference. Launched at our Spring Meeting this past April, IMPACT is making it possible for Starnet Members to keep thousands of pounds of used rubber flooring from going to landfill. Roppe distributors provide “Gaylord Containers” (made from recycled materials) for the collection and return of used rubber flooring and any out dated rubber flooring samples. Roppe’s recycling partner is turning what was once considered waste into landscaping mulches, playground surfacing and rubber crumb for athletic fields. Specialty products such as pavers and edging are also produced as needed.

What makes the IMPACT program very unique is that Roppe is making a contribution to the Wounded Warriors Foundation for every pound of used product that Starnet Members divert from landfill. Our mutual goal is to divert one half million pounds of used rubber products by Starnet’s next Spring Meeting. When we achieve it Roppe will make a $50,000 contribution to the Wounded Warriors Foundation in appreciation of their service to our country and in celebration of Starnet Members’ participation in the IMPACT Program.
