Consolidated Carpet diverts 1,059,284 pounds of used materials from landfills

Via Floor Daily, Consolidated Carpet has surpassed their recycling goal for 2010, diverting 1,059,284 pounds of used materials from landfills.

It’s the third consecutive year that the company has surpassed its goal of diverting over 1 million pounds of materials.

Consolidated Carpet has been collecting used carpet for reclamation studies since the late 1980s and is considered a national leader in the industry.

Consolidated Carpet has partnered with the industry’s leading manufacturers to assist in the collection process of used carpet to supply feed stock for some of the most innovative recycling programs in the flooring business.
